Class Registration/ Signups Delayed

In light of the developments regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and the uncertainty of whether or not large events will be able to continue in the near future, Houston Fiber Fest has decided to delay opening class registrations on March 15th. It is our hope that by the end of March there will be a clearer picture as to whether or not we will be able to host Houston Fiber Fest in June. At this time we are looking to open class registration on April 1st.

We are monitoring the situation and are keeping in contact with the Berry Center. We will keep you updated as a situation develops and changes. It is our hope that we will be able to go forward with Houston Fiber Fest this year. We know that canceling the show would be a huge burden in loss on our vendors and on our attendees. However our primary concern must always be for the health and safety of everyone who will attend Houston Fiber Fest.

We thank you for your understanding and support.

Details for our 2020 Charity Focus is now available!

Hi everyone! We are pleased to announce that all of the details related to our charity focus for 2020 can now be found on the Charity section of the website.

The 2020 Houston Fiber Fest charity focus is related to a topic that touches the lives of many in the Texas area: breast health, education, and cancer awareness. In Texas, breast cancer has been the leading cancer type since 2016, and it’s expected that there will be 19,000 new cases of breast cancer in Texas in the year 2020 alone. This year, we will be highlighting two organizations that support quality breast health care and providing services to breast cancer survivors.

WHO SHOULD APPLY TO VEND AT HOUSTON FIBER FEST

  • Houston Fiber Fest ONLY accepts vendors who primarily sell yarn, fiber, and other items directly related to fiber arts. No exceptions.
  • This is a juried event. Our team hand picks a selection of vendors with a focus on those local to Texas and the surrounding area. Houston Fiber Fest aims to be a destination for buyers to find unique, high quality products and premium specialty items.
  • Sales and show specials are allowed, but we strongly discourage deep discounting. Our show is not an appropriate place to liquidate your clearance bin. If any vendor ignores this suggestion, it may affect whether that vendor is invited to return the following year.
  • We do not accept vendor applications from the following:
    • No direct sales or multi level marketing reps (LuLaRoe, Jamberry, Scentsy, etc.)
    • No sellers with a majority of products outside the fiber-arts community (jewelry, general crafts, etc.)
    • No sellers with primarily finished objects such as knitted, crocheted, or woven items

Visit our Vendors page for more information. We look forward to reviewing your application!
