Meet us

Houston Fiber Festival is a 501c3 organization led by a board of directors and supported by our wonderful founders, sponsors, and grant organizations. Our board is a mix of vendors, a guild president, a dyer, shop owners, and a merch-maker. It's a bunch of people who bring creativity and operational skills. If you would like to become involved in the planning of the festival,

please reach out to our Executive Director.

We'd love to meet you!

Heather Robins. Board President. Howdy! I’m the dyer, maker, designer, artist and everything else behind Heathered Handmades. I'm also a dog mom to my fluffy mutt Bear, proud plant hoarder, and superhero enthusiast. Most importantly, I am passionate about doing what is right and what is good. Crafting has a long history of giving voice to marginalized groups and human rights issues when words weren't enough.

Terri’s days are spent in the world of Enterprise Software working with Fortune 100 companies, but her nights are filled with her family including her adult daughter and her dogs, and her love for knitting. She embraced yarn as a craft medium in 2019 and hasn’t looked back since, diving into the fiber community and knitting everywhere she goes. She brings a successful and pragmatic business background as well as a love for the fiber community to the HFF team.

Our story

A Homegrown Arts Festival

Green Lester with Transparant Background.png

The Houston Fiber Fest is a beloved event in every fiber artist's calendar! Started as an offshoot of the Knit at Night Guild (KANG) in 2015, the festival quickly grew to an annual tradition in Houston. In 2026, the three wonderful "burning hearts" keeping the festival going decided to step down and offered the structure to a new group of leaders who were ready and eager to keep the festival alive!

A nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting fiber arts in the greater Houston area the festival offers local fiber enthusiasts an opportunity to celebrate the crafts they love — knitting, crochet, spinning, and weaving.
